For over 25 years Conductix-Wampfler have been designing and manufacturing products to supply
electrical power to mobile machinery. Our reputation has been founded upon the highly successful range of
8 Bar Insulated Conductor Systems.
Conductix was formed in 1979 by the merging of two U.K. companies, Insul-8 (G.B.) Corporation Limited and Protected Conductors Limited.
Insul-8 (G.B.) Corporation was founded in 1961 for the purpose of manufacturing American designed products from the Conductix-Wampfler
Corporation of California, which was the first company in the world to make protected conductor systems for cranes in the early 1950's.
In 1976 the Conductix-Wampfler Corporation (which at that time had manufacturing companies in Canada, Australia and the U.K., as well as their
own in California) was purchased by DELACHAUX S.A. a private company based in Paris. To consolidate its world-wide reputation,
all DELACHAUX group companies, involved in the manufacture and supply of industrial conductor systems were, in 1992, brought
together to form the Conductic Division.
In addition to its Conductic Division, the DELACHAUX Group is one of the leaders in Europe for special insulators (third rail),
third rail conductors, overhead trolley and tramway systems and has manufacturing facilities for crane wheels, tractor wheels
and special metals.
DELACHAUX were one of the first companies to manufacture commercial thermic welding kits and as RAILTECH, supply a full thermic
welding service to the world's railways.
Conductix-Wampfler has access to all the technical designs and experience of a world-wide network of companies.
Conductix-Wampfler have a world-wide network of Agents and subsidiaries. Company representatives can be found throughout Scandinavia,
Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and Africa.
The majority of our customers are associated within the Crane Industry. However, such is the diversity of the product application,
that many opportunities exist in a wide range of industries.
